Bank statement import and reconciliation

Import a CSV or OFX statement, match each line to a recorded movement and handle duplicates.

Who: importing statements and reconciling are separate owner grants. RHACOVA has no live bank connection or automatic sync: you download the statement from your bank and upload it.

1. Cash & banks → Import statement, choose the account. 2. Upload a CSV or OFX file (QFX also accepted), up to 2 MB and 5,000 lines, in the account's currency. 3. For CSV, map the columns (date, description, amount or separate in/out columns, optional balance) and the date and number format; you can save the format. 4. Choose Check file, review the preview and import.

Importing never records receipts, payments or costs. Only the dates, amounts, descriptions and references are kept, not the original file.

Duplicates: lines identical to ones already imported are skipped. A line with the same date, amount and direction but different wording is marked Possible duplicate: keep it if it is a separate movement, or choose Discard — it's a duplicate.

5. Open Reconcile. Each bank line matches exactly one recorded movement with the same account, currency, direction and amount. Review Possible matches and choose Match; suggestions are never confirmed for you. If the movement isn't in your records, use Not in your records? to record it from the line after confirming.

Correcting: Unmatch needs the reversal grant and a reason. It removes only the link; the recorded movement stays, and the reason is kept in history. Grouped bank settlements (one line for several movements) aren't supported.

Verify: Cash & banks shows the statement lines still to match and, when the statement includes balances, any difference from the latest bank-reported balance.
