Projected cash flow

See recorded cash plus what is scheduled to come in and go out, by due date.

Who: people with cash, receivables or payables view access; each part shows only what your access allows. Open Finance → Cash flow and choose the period.

What it shows: Actual cash recorded comes only from recorded movements; transfers between your accounts aren't money in or out. Expected amounts are the unpaid part of each receivable and payable installment, placed on its due date. Voided items are excluded. Each currency is shown separately and never combined.

Projected ending balance = Recorded balance today + expected inflows − expected outflows. Fictional example: 12,000 today + 8,000 expected in − 5,000 expected out = 15,000.

Overdue installments appear separately and are not counted as expected. Turn on Include overdue items in the projection (assumption) only if you expect them to be received and paid in the period.

Limits: unpaid obligations aren't assigned to an account, so filtering by account shows only recorded cash; no balance is projected for a single job. Nothing is estimated beyond your recorded due dates.

When records change (a receipt, a new bill, a new due date), the projection recalculates the next time you open it. Cash flow is not profit: a profitable month can still be short of cash, and the reverse.
