Jobs & costs

Daily logs, photos and crew hours

Record what happened on site. Field records never change costs, forecasts or profit.

When to use: at the end of a work day or visit. Owners and admins can log on any job that isn't cancelled. Members can read every log but add entries only on jobs they are assigned to, in Who can log on this job.

1. Open the job → Field operations → Field log. 2. Enter Date and Work performed; open Notes, blockers and weather for more detail. 3. Use Add photos (JPEG, PNG, WebP or iPhone HEIC, up to 12 per log). 4. Choose Save log and wait for Saved.

Photos are converted to JPEG, resized and stripped of location data before upload. Entries are saved online only; if the connection drops, keep the screen open and save again.

Crew: tap people to add them to the log. Hours start at 8 and can be changed (0–24). Mark each new person as Employee or Subcontractor; adding a person never creates a RHACOVA login.

Corrections: the author can use Correct to change a log; History keeps the previous values. Void keeps the log in history with a reason. Logs are never deleted.

Verify: the log appears in the Field log with its author and in the job Timeline. People on this job shows total hours, excluding voided logs.

What doesn't happen automatically: hours are operational information, not costs. Employee hours become job costs only when an authorized person posts them; subcontractor hours are never posted.

Choose the stage when the log relates to one. Labor overview groups recorded, confirmed and awaiting hours by person and stage; hours without a stage remain unattributed. Booked-versus-recorded compares the same person, job and past or current company date, not future days. It is operational visibility, not employee ranking.
